The Mini Basketball
Association of America© promotes the use of developmentally appropriate
equipment to create an environment of success and positive feelings.
Our basketball programs focus on children ages 4 to 8 years old for Recreation
Departments, Elementary Schools, and others who instruct basketball.
Using a fully functional mini basketball system and a size 3 basketball
allows children ages 4-8 to play basketball at their developmental level
in an environment of success and positive feelings. Educators and recreation
directors can now teach basketball to young children without the dilemma
of asking them to shoot baskets at an 8 to 10 foot goal when their body
mass and strength do not allow them to reach 8 to 10 foot height using
good form. Young students can be taught proper form using equipment
that fits their developmental and physical level.
